Jen throws tantrum over mag cover

Jennifer Aniston allegedly threatened to pull out of a magazine photo shoot if co-star Jennifer Connelly joined her on the front cover.

The former Friends actress had agreed to appear in a new issue of America's Marie Claire magazine to promote latest movie He's Just Not That Into You but reportedly didn't want Connelly featured in the main photographs.

However, she was happy to pose alongside other female co-stars Drew Barrymore and Ginnifer Goodwin.

A source told Life and Style Weekly magazine: "She threatened to pull out if Jennifer was part of the cover. It was all about getting Jennifer Aniston front and centre and looking as sexy as possible."

Insiders on the movie set claim the two Jennifers didn't hit it off while working together.

One said: "There was no camaraderie between those two whatsoever. They didn't seem like friends in the slightest."

However, Aniston's representative has denied the story, insisting the two actresses became good friends on the movie and the magazine had requested she pose alone.

The representative said: "There is no drama whatsoever. Marie Claire wanted Jennifer Aniston alone. It was our idea to make it a group cover as Jennifer Aniston has a smaller supporting role in the film.

"The magazine only wanted to put three of them on the cover and definitely wanted Drew Barrymore.

"We recommended Ginnifer Goodwin because she is basically the lead role in the film. Jennifer got along great with Jennifer Connelly."

'Tokyo!' heads to North America

Liberation Entertainment takes rights to film triptych

CANNES -- Liberation Entertainment has snatched up North American rights to "Tokyo!," the film triptych from all-star directors Michel Gondry, Leos Carax and Joon-ho Bong.

The three short pics take on the Japanese metropolis through the lenses of the three auteurs. "Tokyo!" had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section, and will be released by Liberation in theaters later this year.

Carax's segment, titled "Merde," focuses on a man who engages in provocative acts on the streets of Tokyo. Bong helmed "Shaking Tokyo," about a recluse who falls in love during an earthquake. Gondry's "Interior Design" is a fable that centers on a couple drifting apart.

Movie follows the trend of "Paris, J'taime" and the upcoming "New York, I Love You," both of which package shorts from a diverse group of directors whose films are shot and set in, and reflect different aspects, of a particular city.

Los Angeles and London-based Liberation launched in 2006 but has only recently ramped up its theatrical distribution arm. The company picked up the soccer docu "Kickin It" in a deal with ESPN and Netflix's Red Envelope Entertainment around the time of its January Sundance premiere.

Liberation's Rob Williams negotiated the deal with Wild Bunch's Laurent Baudens.

Moby: DJing made work fun again

MOBY - Last Night Rating *** 1/2
WITH five hit albums under his belt, Moby got bored.

Bored of never-ending touring and playing to faceless crowds. Bored of the
non-stop travel to soulless cities worldwide and bored of playing the same
songs every night. He wanted a change.

So for his latest album Last Night, he rediscovered his love of New York
clubs, in particular Manhattan’s trendy Lower East side which he has called
home for the past 15 years.

His apartment in Manhattan’s Little Italy doubles as his studio. It’s the hub
of Moby’s life, where he lives, records and entertains.

Gold and platinum discs and Joy Division posters dress the walls while the
only splash of colour in the all-white space is a yellow Andy Warhol/Velvet
Underground banana cushion.

Sean Connery - Connery Beats Beckham To Finishing Line

Sean Connery beats David Beckham when it comes to exercise, according to a survey.

Despite being 77, former James Bond actor Connery has topped a poll of celebrities women think about most when working out, beating 33-year-old footballer Beckham who came second.

The survey was commissioned to mark Cancer Research UK's Race for Life 2008 series and looked to find out which celebrities would motivate women to get to the finish line.

Fiery chef Gordon Ramsey finished third, while Prince William came fourth in a survey of over 1,000 women by the charity.

Simon Cowell also featured, taking the fifth place spot on the list.

Natasha Woodford, head of Cancer Research UK's Race for Life said of the findings: "It was surprising to find that Sean Connery beat David Beckham, who regularly tops the poll of the world's best looking men.

"But whether it's a famous heartthrob or a family member, it's always a good incentive to have someone waiting for you at the finish line, and we're sure there will be lots of people supporting our Race for Life participants at the events this year."

As well as seeking to find every woman's ideal celebrity that motivates them to get to the finish line, the survey also revealed that women would most like to go for a walk, jog or run with the female cast of Friends, while the Golden Girls came second.

Third place went to those Desperate Housewives and the Sex and the City women and Girls Aloud made it into the chart in fourth and fifth place respectively.

Fans beg Winehouse to quit drugs after video

Fans of troubled singer Amy Winehouse have begged her to get help after she was caught on video apparently smoking crack cocaine.
Footage obtained by The Sun appears to show her inhaling fumes from a crack pipe after an apparent 19-minute drugs binge in which she snorted ecstasy, cocaine and admitted to taking Valium tablets.
The disturbing images were said to have been filmed during a party at Winehouse's London home in the early hours of last Friday, just before she attended a court hearing for husband Blake Fielder-Civil. He is awaiting trial on charges of assault and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
Looking dishevelled and wearing a grubby black vest in the video, Winehouse was barely able to talk. When friends ask her to go out with them, she is heard to reply: "I'd be useless to you because I've had about six Valium."
On the singer's website, fans warned the 24-year-old that she would die unless she sought help.
One fan said: "That video of you at home, which is now doing the rounds, will hopefully be instrumental in getting you where you need to be."
The fan quoted the mother of the late Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain, warning Winehouse not to "join that stupid club" of dead rock stars.

Things get hot, heavy at KISS

It was long, but it certainly wasn’t dull. KISS Concert 2008 proved to be nearly nine hours worth of radio hits, hometown reunions, shout-outs to the Boston Celtics [team stats] and search parties for fine young ladies in the house.
The annual music marathon was heavy on hysterics and short sets that kept fans dancing or at least reasonably interested despite a couple of transportation mishaps that kept rapper Flo Rida from taking the stage and delayed Sean Kingston’s set.
Hometown heartthrobs New Kids on the Block unveiled what Donnie Wahlberg deemed the official start of their much-anticipated reunion yesterday, and fans welcomed them with flailing arms.

Anyone who saw the Kids’ performance on Friday’s “Today” show got a virtual repeat on Sunday, as the men mixed up back-in-the-day hits including “Step By Step” with their new single, “Summertime.”
They wore five variations on a black suit, re-emerged in Celtics jerseys after a wardrobe change and danced in synchronicity. Jonathan Knight looked like a banker out of his element, but other than that the fivesome seemed into it. And yes, they still do the side-to-side swinging legs dance.
Fellow hometown heroes Boys Like Girls also took the KISS stage yesterday, breaking out hits including the frantic “Great Escape,” then engaging in the night’s edgiest moment when lead singer Martin Johnson smashed his guitar to pieces.
The sold-out show was friendly to teens, tweens and their adult escorts, with virtually no inappropriate moments and songs that parents could bounce along to and still maintain their dignity, including Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” and the slinky sounds of Maroon 5, whose funk-soul undertones were a nice counterpoint to much of the sugary pop yesterday.
Former teen sensation Jesse McCartney did his best Justin Timberlake impression after the super-sweet “Beautiful Soul,” while sets from Eurodance sensation Cascada and former Fugee Wyclef Jean - who appeared sans his signature dreadlocks and spent the majority of his time in the crowd - helped to keep fans warm.
Nearly every artist was well-received, but the Jonas Brothers appeared to be the main attraction, at least in terms of screams. Songs such as “Hold On,” “Year 3000” and “S.O.S.” were almost afterthoughts beneath all the shrieking for the impossibly cute trio. True, if youre not a die-hard Jonas fan, then the brothers’ bounce-friendly brand of pop feels a little like torture. Otherwise, you’re pretty much in heaven.
